Spring Break Plan
Oh dear…I am on spring break. While I really would love to be anywhere else, I am okay with being home. I probably could use the time to catch up on some assignments. But since I have a relatively easy week ahead of me I have to do some hardcore exercising.
So here is my little plan for the week.
Today: Weights and walk 1 mile.
Sunday: Walking on Easter. Good. Walk 3 miles.
Monday: Biking…. sweet action. Love biking so, ride the bike for 1.5 hours.
Tuesday: Swim day! Find a pool and swim for one hour. At least try to.
Wednesday: Bike for 1.5 hours. Try to recover from swimming. Haha.
Thursday: Swim day! Find a pool and swim for one hour. Try not to drown.
Friday: Either bike or walk today. Its not important.
Saturday: Weights. Buff girl time.
Sunday: Go back to Jackson. Get back to the apartment and get ready for school. Hurray?
This is mainly more for me so I know what I am doing. :) Maybe later I will post something full of good insight. :)

Weight Loss Blog Reading
I am scared. Really, I am.It has been several weeks since I checked my google reader to see what blog entries I have missed reading. After several weeks I know there are way more posts to read than I ever can or even should.Even though I have let my blog reading slip I still enjoy checking out everyone’s weight loss progress. Sometimes it seems like I am alone in this mess, especially with all my skinny junk food eating friends around me, but when I think of everyone online writing about their journey I feel so much stronger. I like reading this posts, but I probably won’t read the 361 I have missed. Keep writing though everyone. Whether you know it or not it helps others.

Being Broke Inspires A New Weight Loss Plan
Today I sat down to do something and instead at half a box of my roommates Cheez-Its. Hope she isn’t mad.
The bad eating trend continued with the cheerios I am eating now. Snacky, snacky me.
This emotional eating is brought to you by a terrible case of money loss. Just when I felt like I was as broke as I possibly could be, I lost 400 to a scam. On top of losing 400 dollars, I feel quite stupid.
Mmmmm, cheerios. Wait, eating costs money. I must stop eating! :) At least I have found a new weight loss plan.

Vols are going down…
Today is such a good day. I sent the payment for my new computer… I should get it in the mail by Tuesday! Then I will have time to stay online and catch up on everyone’s progress. I miss blog reading. Its a lovely hobby.
Oh yeah, and tonight MEMPHIS will beat Tennessee. GO TIGERS! (Can you tell I am excited?)

I have to say, I am pretty amazed that Karson with a K was at my little blog. Just saying. I love Q107.5. By next week they will have more on the Memphis Biggest Loser Contest. I am excited for all the contestants. Any time there is something in the Memphis area promoting healthier lifestyles I get really excited because that is something we lack around these parts.
Anyway, I just wanted to write a quick post about this week. It has been a really good week for me. Workouts have been awesome, I haven’t been eating much at all, and I am losing weight steadily. It is all pretty exciting. I love weeks where everything goes right with weightloss. It makes those hard weeks easier because you can remember the “good times.”

New Year, New Goals
January 2008! You know what that means. It is time to make some resolutions for the new year.
It is not a bad thing to set goals for the new year. I am fully for this tradition. I think it only becomes a negative thing when they are impossible to complete and end up making you feel bad about yourself.
Here are my three resolutions for the new year (there are others):
Lose 50 pounds. This may sound like a lot of weight but it is a reasonable amount for weight loss this year. Actually losing this weight is necessary so my doctor will no longer hate me. When excess weight starts to affect your health there is nothing to do besides lose the weight. I have reached the point where I must lose the weight.
Complete a 5k. Running three miles is not a terribly difficult feat, but it is harder when you are overweight and out of shape. I would like to start running 5k races for multiple causes, so once I lose weight and get in shape I will start doing this. This goal will be completed probably in the first half of the year. This goal and the next are both just fun ways to accomplish the first goal. They give me a better chance at losing that evil extra weight.
Complete a triathlon. This goal has always been in the back of my mind and only recently had any possibility of success. My friend Meredith is a hardcore triathlete/marathon runner and has encouraged me to pursue this goal offering her knowledge, encouragement, and guidance. Hopefully this will all translate into a completed triathlon sometime this year.
Figure out the next step. This is a transitional time in my life and I have no idea what I will be doing this time next year. Or in 6 months. Soon I will graduate from university and hit the job market. Hopefully in the next few months I will be hit over the head with what I should do next. And a new wardrobe because my first three goals will require one.

First of all…
I am rusty. So terribly rusty.
Last week when I sat down to write an article for the local newspaper, the words scratched and fought their way out of my brain. A creative lead sentence would not magically appear like I expected it to. Instead I sat and stared at my computer for almost an hour. The perfect sentence never came.
That is when I realized how rusty I am. I haven’t written a blog in over a year and my biggest regret about my semester abroad is that I did not keep a better record of my adventures. So, in the spirit of wanting to befriend words once again, I am blogging.
