Oh blog, how I don’t update you!  Oopsie!  Well, Ive been on youtube a bit recently so Ive been doing videos there. :)

As far as checkin in… I have been working out again finally. Not much but my body is starting to get back into the swing of it.  My eating hasnt been so good.  Its hard to live with people that eat the complete opposite from how you want to.  Hopefully I will be getting that under control now as well as drinking more water, because I havent been doing well on that either.

Healthy You Challenge Check In

I always forget about the Healthy You Challenge check ins until the next day which makes me one of the last to sign in always.

This week has been better than the last couple because I finally got back on track.  The last two months were super hectic, but now they are over and I have an easy summer as far as my schedule goes.  So I decided to get back in the saddle and start exercising again.  And let me tell you - it feels great!  Yesterday I swam for thirty minutes and today I biked for thirty.  :)  My body feels better already. 

Foodwise, not much has changed.  Ive been eating a little healthier, but food is always my biggest enemy.  When I have lots of free time its even worse because I look for something to do and food is always convenient.  Ugh.

Im facing up to some feelings that I didn’t even know I had.  Mainly - FEAR.  I am scared to lose weight and see what I am without this long time fat suit companion of mine.  I am still thinking through this so I will probably right more on it later. 

All in all its a good week to be back on track! Woohoo!

Healthy You Challenge Check In

I have definitely skipped a couple of check-ins. Oops. I forget. Tuesdays aren’t the best days for me.

So this week has been great, compared to spring break.  My eating is back on track and I have worked out for at least 30 minutes each day.   I am feeling better already.  Its funny how bad junk food makes my body feel when I eat it. Yet I still manage to ignore that feeling and eat it anyway.

 It is a challenge not to buy fast food this week because I have nothing in my apartment and little time to buy groceries and cook.  Still, my goal for the week will be to limit my fast food intake to the weekend when I can’t help it because I won’t be at home. I may eat soup all week, but at least its not greasy fast food.

Another goal: work out hard to get ready for the race. Grrr.  My aerobic capacity is decreasing these days since I let spring break be such an easy week.  My goal for this week is to do all my workouts and then some (the extra is because rec softball is starting and we will start practicing. wooohoo!).

Speaking of which, Meredith never sent my training plan. Im gonna have to call that girl!  This week is busy but gonna be great!

Healthy You Challenge Check-In

Well, well, well. I haven’t been on my blog, or looking at any one else’s for a week. That is definitely not normal. But now… back to normal… I have a new computer and will be able to check on blogs more often.  Hurray!

So,this week has been iffy regarding weight loss.  I guess my heart just isn’t in it these days. My training, my eating, it is all just on the back burner. Strange, since nothing is on the front burner. I have nothing, absolutely nothing, that should be stopping me from putting my full effort behind losing weight.

I have nothing stopping me… I just need to do it.  My goal for next week is to put more effort behind losing weight, specifically behind exercising.  Work it out.

Focus girl, focus!  Work harder! Graduation is coming up and I need to look GOOD.

I totally forgot about check-in on Tuesday. I actually wasn’t anywhere near a computer, so I guess it wouldn’t have helped to remember. I’m at work so this will be quick: No change!

My goal for this week is to run a lot more because last week I only ran once. Sad day.

Healthy You Check-In

Let’s just ignore my last post. I don’t want to delete it, but pretend its not there and Memphis didn’t lose. Sad day.

 Anyway, I am down another pound for this week to 221. I think the weight loss will slow down a bit now that I am eating normally again. Darn. It was so nice to just lose because I didn’t feel like eating.

My goals for this week are to get all my workouts in and then some, even though I have really long and busy days. I can totally do it and so can everyone else.

Congrats to all the people chosen in the Memphis Biggest Loser contest. Good luck to you!

Healthy You Check-In

Awesome check-in this week. 222 this morning. Down 3 for the week, 6 from the start. Yay!

My computer died so I am trying to live without it, which is hard since a lot of what I do is computer/internet related. Right now I am on a friend’s computer.  Oh well. One more thing to stress about in my life.

Healthy You Challenge Check In (6)

Apparently not having weight loss on my mind actually leads to weight loss. This week -1, down to 225.5. Pretty good stuff. A pound a week works. Its not like I am on the biggest loser here.

Frustrations from last week: an F4 tornado trying to rip my face off, eating out too much because my power was out and I wasn’t home, drinking to much on Friday night (only a frustration afterwards), eating comfort food galore when I came home to my mom’s house.

Exercise from last week: lost track of workouts after Monday so I am way off schedule with my training, worked on cleanup a bit at school - definitely hardcore exercise

Goals for next week: (1) get back on track with my training, starting the first workout today and continuing on odd days the rest of the week (2) keep a journal of my food and my workouts so my friend can help me plan better training (3) not eat so many cookies and such while I am camped out at home doing nothing (4) unrelated to weightloss, but still a goal, start looking for jobs for post graduation life

I think this week will be pretty successful in weight related things. Hope everyone did well!

Healthy You Check-In

It is check in day… and I am not going anywhere near a scale.

I actually am moving today, going back to school, so my stuff is either packed or will soon be. I don’t feel like looking for the scale. And I know it will probably be a zero or gain, so I would rather look at this week by a different measurement.

Let’s just look at the challenge by this fact alone: I am so EXCITED. I am excited for these reasons:

  • This week wasn’t too bad. I did my workouts and ate well most of the time. I had a few bad meals, but it is because I went out so many times.
  • I kept track of everything I ate. I am sooo bad about journaling food, but I did a good job of keeping track of it all (the good, the bad) this week.
  • I am going back to school where I will most certainly be more active than I am at home with mom and the bro. Being at home is like a return to my old life when I constantly ate and never moved. A month and a half of being home and I am 20 pounds heavier. I am so excited to be leaving!
  • I have new tennis shoes that make me want to run and will make me run better and faster.

Overall I feel like it was a good week and there are only better ones to come! I hope everyone else has had great weeks. Time to go visit some blogs…
